How does it work?

The original project starts with a billiard ball bouncing in a rectangle and turns the trajectory into binary sequences. This playground explores its curved extension: each point samples a quadratic surface, scales it by √2, and colors alternating integer bands. The delicate patterns come from sampling those bands on a pixel grid.

The renderer is adapted from Serhii Herasymov’s Billiard Fractals (MIT). Patterns are temporary; reload starts fresh. Everything runs locally in your browser.
